Details
It is a typical farm house dating back to the XVIII century; the farmer employed in tilling the large land owned by the lords of that time used to live in it.
In those days, that farm house was quite far from the center of Gallipoli; therefore, it was very important for the whole family to rely on land products and their processing. In fact, on the ground floor there are an ancient wine press, an oven for bread cooking, a small stable and a store which have recently been restored to allow a pleasant stay to our welcome guests.
Today, thanks to its nearness to the sea – just eight minutes walking – the farm is surrounded by lively sport and tourist resorts, but inside its typical old dry-walls it still keeps all its magic and ancient charm.
The farm house is located in Gallipoli (LE), s.v. Patitari. It is 300 metres far from the sea and 1300 metres far from Gallipoli downtown.
