Being tired of living in a big city the owners, Cinzia and Franco, moved to the green hills of the 'Ciocara', about 25 km from the sea and 50 km from the National Park of the Abruzzi, a large nature reserves. Their country house lies on top of a hill, close to from Pastena, famous for its splendid underground grottos that are passable for more than 3 km (guided tours can be booked). The more daring ones can exercise on a 'quad-and-bug' track. The hosts organize very suggesting excursions or hiking tours in the neighbourhood and to the splendid coast at Sperlonga and Gaeta. There is the possibility to enjoy the sea more intensively sailing with a beautiful 13 m boat and discover the Pontine islands. The art lover has the choice to visit archaeological sites from famous roman personalities (like the villas of Tiberius and Cicero's tomb), medieval monasteries and cloisters (like Casamari, the Abbey of Fossanova and Monte Cassino), many picturesque villages and interesting historical centres.
The mild climate, the simple life and the healthy food will give your vacation an unforgettable touch 'being in the seventh heaven'
