Le Pietre is rural stone building, comfortable and informal, ideal to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Italian countryside.
The land is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and it’s located only a few minutes drive from Bolsena lake. The small towns of Marta, Montefiascone and Capodimonte are all within 15 minutes drive. The coast is reachable in less then 1 hour drive.
Le Pietre offers a one double bed apartment on the top floor of the farm house with its own independent external entrance and easy access to the swimming pool and garden. It has at its disposal all commodities such as shower, linen and towels, hairdryer, TV, fridge, cooking unit, BBQ, swimming pool and small terrace with a stunning panoramic view. Italian coffee and teas are complementary.
Le Pietre also enjoys its own natural volcanic water source directly fed from our well.
For an extra £5 per person, a generous continental breakfast is served every morning either by the pool or anywhere within our grounds. It includes bread, cereals, butter, jams, biscuits, cakes, fruit juices, fruit shakes, fruit, coffee, milk and teas.
Please note air-conditioning and toiletries are not available. Domestic cleaning is only available weekly for long staying guests.
Lake Bolsena
The lake is situated in northern Lazio, in the main caldera of the volcanic group Vulsinio. It’s elliptical in shape with a surface of 114.5 square km and a max depth of 151 m. There are a number of volcanic sand beaches around the lake and some areas offer watersport facilities. It has a reputation as one of Europe’s cleanest lakes and swimming is common.

How to get there
How to reach Le Pietre
The closest airports are Roma Ciampino and Roma Fiumicino, all approximately 2 hrs drive.
A car is essential and both airports offer car rental services.
Alternately:
From Rome airports go to Roma Termini Train Station via the shuttle bus services (cheap and regular) and then take a train to Orvieto. This is a 50 minute journey. At Orvieto Train Station you can rent a car from Hertz or Avis and drive to Marta in less then 45 minutes. It’s much quicker and much easier. We are happy to help with any travelling arrangements.
