The Hindi word "shanti" means: peaceful, homely, simple... a word which expresses a lifestyle and our philosophy too.
Our house is very typical: made of stone, with wooden interiors, surrounded by chestnut trees and meadows.
The Shanti House grew from the idea of giving birth to a "fair tourism", giving everybody the chance of visiting our beautiful region and giving us the opportunity to meet a lot of new people... and also we wanted to re-create at home that atmosphere of exchange among travellers which you can breathe in an Indian guesthouse.
It's the ideal place where you can fully enjoy (in a shanti way!) the two sides of our region: the charming seaside towns (5Terre, Portofino...) and the unspoilt mountains (Aveto Nature Park) with their people who still follow an ancient rhythm of life. We have double and single rooms with bathroom to share, living room, KITCHEN FACILITIES and garden.
RATE (all year round): 15 euro per person/night, self-made breakfast included.

How to get there
BY CAR: best motorway exit LAVAGNA.
Turn right and head for CARASCO, then right again for BORZONASCA. At the beginning of the village, after the cemetery, you will have to turn right following our road signs and heading for SOPRALACROCE (7 km). Once you go past PRATOSOPRALACROCE you’ll find our last sign which makes you turn left uphill: go ahead for about 400 mt on a normal road and other 200 mt on a dirt track. we are in the last house on the road, a big house made of stone, with orange curtains at the windows.
BY PLANE: nearest airport in GENOVA
BY TRAIN + BUS: nearest train station CHIAVARI.
Bus lines: Chiavari - Belvedere (stop in Zanoni) or, with buses running more frequently, Chiavari - Borzonasca and then we can come to pick you up (Borzonasca - Zanoni = 7 km)
