The villa where we will accommodate you in our B&B “Al Calicanto” is on the hills in the neighbourhood of Bergamo, a wonderful medieval town. It is easy to reach the Old Town, by bus or by car, so you will spend your time there, but at the same time, you will enjoy the quiet surroundings, here.
The house is in Sorisole, a lovely village 4 km from the centre of Bergamo, just below the mountain Canto Alto, where you will be able to go walking in the woods and on the hills, reaching the High Town through small roads and lovely path.
A part of the house is for guests only, so it is suitable to welcome either a single or a couple or even a family or a group of friends (up to 6 people). A rich breakfast will be served in a lovely dining room and during the summer in the garden, if you wish.
Very close to the house you can play tennis or go rock climbing on a practice wall; for those who like sports activities, Bruna, who runs the B&B, loves to go walking on the mountain and is a skilled alpinist and will be able to give you information about trips in the valleys around Bergamo.
It is very easy to arrive here from the airport and the highway.

How to get there
By car
From the highway A4 Milan Venetia exit Bergamo and follow the road signs "Valle Brembana", straight ahead along the free highway, keep on following "Valle Brembana" till you get to the indication "Ponteranica": from here straight ahead for about 1200 m until you reach a traffic light (you see a bar called “Panda” and a bar called “Capolinea”) where you see the road sign "Sorisole": turn right and then follows the road that goes left and then right, straight ahead and go beyond a crossroads and the white road sign "Sorisole" near a little church. From the road sign, after about 700 m you will reach a junction where you turn left to via Paganelli, turn right at the first road and in 400 m you will be in via Michelangelo just in front of the house "Al Calicanto", n ° 2/B (check the map).
By plane
From Milano-Orio al Serio (Bergamo) airport there is bus n. 1 leaving every half an hour towards the town centre; get off at the railway Station, cross the square and close to MC Donald's take bus n. 7B to Sorisole.
By bus
- From the railway station take bus n. 7 B to Sorisole.
- From the centre of Bergamo (Porta Nuova) take bus n. 9 A to Sorisole.
In Sorisole get off in Piazza Donatori di Sangue, walk along via Cerioli, which very close and then along via Cavalot you will get to via Michelangelo walking only a few minutes (200 m from the bus stop).
