Amongst the hills of Lake Iseo and the vineyards of Franciacorta is located Palazzo Torri, a splendid noble mansion built in the 1600s.
During the 1700s the palace was renovated with frescoes, decorations and baroque forniture and it was transformed in a so called “villa of delights”.
In 1870, the ownership passed to Alessandro and Paolina Torri who were the promoters of a “cultural gathering”, where parties, meetings, debates and literary, musical and artistic events took place. The important guests who visited the place very often spent some time there. Among these we can enumerate writers and poets like Fogazzaro and Carducci, artists, musicians, politicians, intellectuals and aristocrats.
Palazzo Torri was opened to the public for guided tours and cultural events in the late 20Th century, after restoration work that providing it with modern fittings to organise prestigious private events like wedding parties, festive celebrations and meetings.
Today guests can spend a lovely stay engaged in the peace and history of an historic mansion. All luxurious rooms are comfortable and bright, with ancient furniture, frescoes or lacunar ceiling and decorations.
