an old mill in stone dating back to 1850, carefully restructured with respect for its original architecture and surrounded with thick woods in a very charming and natural atmosphere: this is the house where Mela and Maurizio will welcome you and make you spend your holidays in absolute relaxation. The outskirts offer uncontaminated natural spots with wild flora and fauna: roe deer, wild boars, foxes, badgers and birds of prey are some of the inhabitants you can run into. Several domestic animals live in the house, actually they're the true owners, even if they are not allowed to enter in guest rooms. The house can accomodate your animals too (provided that they are friendly), by previous agreement in order to arrange their lodging. Breakfast is served in the dining-room and consists of a great choice of home-made products.Mela and Maurizio will make you taste the bread baked in the log-fire oven, home-made jams, the honey produced by their bees,the cakes prepared after ancient recipes, and then the "miacce"- a specialty of Valsesia- that are cooked on a typical iron plate and can be stuffed with all kinds of ingredients, such as jams, cold cuts, cheese. Nearby there are various opportunities to amuse yourself: you can walk along ancient paths through the woods, spend your time on the shores of the "Lago d'Orta" (San Maurizio d'opaglio offers the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on the lake); you can go out for a cycle ride along panoramic roads far from heavy traffic, or visit the tourist resorts of "Lago Maggiore", "Valsesia"(the place preferred by people who love rafting),"Macugnaga"(a jewel in "Val d'Ossola") and the national park of"Valgrande"(the largest wild area in Europe); and then you can make excursions in the world of arts and crafts(woodwork) and of enology and gastronomy(production of cheese and salami, rice and wine of the novaresi hills).
The guests have at their disposal two double rooms with a bathroom in common(it's possible to add two more beds in each room), spacious rooms to read and converse and, by previous agreement, washing machine, kitchen, iron,little bed and high chair for children.To people fond of wellbeing and relaxation, Maurizio will be glad to show his massage techniques, from the ayurvedic to the Indian one, from the massage with herbs to the one with crystals or warm stones. You can have all this in an absolutely unique context. English and French spoken.

How to get there
Come raggiungerci:
in auto, dovete uscire a Borgomanero o Gravellona Toce sull'autostrada Ge Voltri-Gravellona-Sempione e seguire le indicazioni per il lago d'Orta. Arrivati a Gozzano, proseguite verso S.Maurizio d'opaglio dove dovete raggiungere la zona di "Pianelli". Il Bed & Breakfast é situato proprio in questa località, lungo la strada che collega Pogno a Pella, in prossimità del ponte sul torrente "Scarpia".
Con Mezzi pubblici potete arrivare a S.Maurizio con autobus provenienti da Borgomanero, Borgosesia e Omegna, tutte località raggiunte dalla ferrovia.
A S.Maurizio scendere in prossimità della Chiesa parrocchiale: il B&B Melizio è a 300 metri.
