During the medieval times a small village, named La Pietra (which in Italian stands for stone), rose around that milestone, and heart of that village was, and is nowdays, Villa La Pietra, formerly home of Sir Harold Acton and now site of the New York University School of Law.
It is in this historical and charming context that Borgo al Poggiolino rises, surrounded by its broad garden typically rich of olive and fruit trees and of aromatic plants. The landlords have decided to transform into holiday houses the ancient agricultural buildings once used to shelter tools and to store harvests, having restored each building according to the typical tuscan country style.

How to get there
From the railway station Firenze Santa maria Novella take the n° 25 Bus. Get off at the bus stop Bolognese 9.
If you came off the motorway at Firenze Nord / Firenze Sud / Firenze airport follow the signs for the Viali di Circonvallazione, centro and go towards Piazza della Libertà. Once there follow the signs for Via Bolognese.
