It is a big house partially painted Tuscan yellow ochre and the rest brickwork. There is a private lane, a large parking area, all surrounded by a lovely garden and field. We have recently renovated the whole building and the ground floor has been decorated with the utmost care for use as guest accommodation for a max of 12 guests. This area is completely independent from the first floor, which is for private use only.
We have five very attractive double bedrooms available, all well light and quiet . Each room has its own bathroom with shower, wash basin, bidet and WC. The heating and cooling system are really very innovative, made by the newest energetic saving techniques. All the wooden furniture is new, chosen for its beautiful detailing and sense of harmony within the rooms. The bed and table-linen, sheets, coverlets, towels are home made, outcome of an ancient family tradition and still kept up.
Breakfast is served in a lovely room where you can also socialise with other guests or enjoy a good book at other times of the day, we have a selection of books to borrow in various languages and you are encouraged to leave your paperbacks behind for other guests.
Whenever the weather is good enough your breakfast can be taken outside under the wonderful portico, with a nice view over the garden, vineyard and fields beyond. There are deckchairs and umbrellas in the garden.
Children are expecially welcome and they will find a nice playground are with toys ready for them
Whether your aim is to come and relax going for long and quiet walks along the green banks of the river Stella close by, or if your aim is to use the house as a base to explore Tuscany, its history and culture, this is the right place to be.
Within a range of 20 km you find Florence, Prato, Pistoia, Vinci (birth place of Leonardo), Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme (the spa towns) and with less of one hour drive you reach the Versilia coast with its worldwide famous sandy beaches and the towns of Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.
In any case we will be glad to provide you with all information and tips you may require. No need to mention that we are surrounded by wonderful places to eat out too!

Come raggiungerci in auto
Coloro che giungono dalla costa tirrenica devono percorrere l'Autostrada A11 Firenze-Mare, casello di uscita Pistoia, seguire a destra le indicazioni per Prato. Giunti all’incrocio con la via Fiorentina voltare a destra e percorrerla per ca. 8 km, passate le località di Bottegone e Barba vi troverete all’incrocio di Olmi, dove volterete a destra, direzione Quarrata. Proseguire per altri 800 metri e voltare ancora a destra, siamo già in via del Casone, pochi passi ancora e a sinistra al numero 170 siete arrivati.
Coloro che percorrono l'Autostrada del Sole nel tratto fra Roma e Bologna, devono uscire al casello Firenze Nord, quindi imboccare la Firenze-Mare (A11), uscire a Prato Ovest e prendere direzione sinistra verso Pistoia. Dopo 3 km in località Agliana giunti ad una grande rotonda seguire a sinistra la segnaletica per Quarrata. Fatti altri 5 km, dopo le località di Ferruccia e Vignole, attraversato l’incrocio con la ss. Fiorentina, proseguire per altri 800 metri e voltare a destra, via del Casone, dove ci troverete al numero 170.
